Host Movie Nod

Go suggest your favorite actors!

Kim Voynar from Cinematical posted a short review about The Host and the possibility it has of being made into a movie (In her words, "it pretty much has 'adapt me into a movie, please!' written all over it"). She's also calling for you to suggest some of your favorite actors for the characters. Head over there and post who you would like to see in each role and don't forget to mention you came from The Host Index!

Reports from Utah!

Geo sends us awesome video

May 16th: Thanksgiving Point, Lehi, Utah
Thanks to Bellarocks and her fabulous connections, we didn't have to wait in line to go into the signing. Our seats were front and center on the fourth row from the stage. We were able to watch all the people who were waiting in line outside come in. The doors opened at 4:30 PM and the Q & A started at 7:00 PM, so while we waited we got to talk to all the other Twilight fans. We even me one that looks exactly like Kristen Stewart, she was offered the chance to be a body double for the movie. Another fan dressed up just like Melanie/Wanda. The look on Stephenie's face when she saw Melanie/Wanda was priceless. Although their were a lot of people the line to get your books signed went pretty fast. The average number of books to be signed per person was 6, some people even had boxes full of books. Several local news outlets showed up and shot footage. Alphie and Pel from the Lexicon and Danobanano from SLTA all got interviewed. After we got our books signed, we all went to love2dream's house for an ice cream party. It was lots of fun. Emily, Stephenie Meyer's sister and Melanie, her cousin joined us, along with several of their friends. Everyone played games and talked until really late.

Video from Lehi

May 17th: Highland High, Salt Lake City, Utah

Having stayed up late the night before we were all extremely tired, but we met at 9:30 AM. The doors opened at 10:30 AM and we all went in and got seats about ten rows back in the center. Again while we waited, we all got to talk and meet the other Twilight fans, it was great! Alice_Whitlock and I were both in group 6 so we sat together. Around 11:00 AM Stephenie came out and started signing books. I thought her hand might be tired from the day before, but she was still really quick. After group 10 was done, Stephenie left for about 30 minutes and Alice_Whitlock ran out to get us some food from Wendys. Stephenie came back out at 1:00 PM and spoke for about 20 minutes. Then she went back to signing books. Afterwards, a photographer from the Deseret Morning News took our picture and everyone went to CullenWannaB's house for dinner.

A full transcript will be up in a few days, Geo has to rest from all the SLTA partying!

Phoenix Signing

As told by Corygirl

We have a transcript of the Phoenix signing courtesy of the wonderful Corygirl. You can find it here.

Some highlights are:

3) All of your characters have one distinguishing characteristic in common, their eyes. Why is this?
Eyes are the window to the soul. They tell if you are sincere. Eyes give people away.

4) (Favorite question ever!) You mentioned that you got all the alien names mixed up with the Jims and Pams. Is this a reference to The Office?
YES! (She was very enthusiastic about this)
